Description
APC SAAD has been designed and manufactured by APC Factory, Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT). There is flexibility in the design that the Engine compartment can accommodate power pack with 408 HP with Automatic Transmission. SAAD is all terrain, amphibious infantry support vehicle with 12.7mm machine gun as its main armament with 6x firing ports. Adequate crew compartment space provides excellent crew comfort. Survivability is enhanced thro gh use of external fuel tanks. Various forms of Bolt On Armour can be added to increase protection level of the vehicle. The vehicle can move upto 75 km/h, whereas it can maintain 30 km/h speed on 10% slope. It can climb 60% slope straight and side slope 30%. It has tremendous capability of water fording. The vehicle has optional features like Add on Armour. Spall Liner NBC Kit and Air Conditioning System.
