TVPC is a drop in replacement for the BB-287 Ni-Cad battery pack used to power the TOW-I or II missile MGS, allowing the weapon system to be operated from external voltage sources, doing away with the logistics of maintaining charged battery packs on the front lines. It can be powered from the battery of the vehicle on which the system is deployed, usually an armed personnel carrier or a Jeep. It can also be used to power a standalone tripod mounted TOW from a 24V battery source.The unit is rugged, light weight and Mil Spec 810C/D compliant.
